Specialty coffee begins with the quality of the coffee itself. It is selected for distinctive flavor, cleanliness, and overall cup quality rather than simply for volume and uniformity.

Much of the coffee people encounter every day is commodity coffee, purchased and blended primarily for consistency, scale, and price. Specialty coffee places greater emphasis on the quality and character of the bean, its origin, processing, and how it expresses itself in the cup.

Every coffee in Drogo House Intercession™ is made with specialty coffee beans—including our House blends.

Drogo House coffee is small-batch roasted in Southern California through our family-owned specialty roasting partner.

Our roasting partner uses professional commercial roasting equipment, combining careful small-batch preparation with the consistency, control, and repeatability required to bring each intended roast profile to the cup.

Most importantly, our coffee is roasted to order. Rather than holding finished roasted inventory on a shelf, your coffee enters the roasting and preparation process after your order is placed.

Our coffees are sourced from established coffee-growing regions around the world. Several Drogo House offerings are carefully composed blends, so individual farm information is not always available or applicable.

When verified origin and producer information is available, we provide it on the product page.

A blend combines specialty coffees selected to create a deliberate and repeatable flavor profile. A single-origin coffee highlights coffee from one defined origin, allowing more of that origin's individual character to come through.

Drogo House offers both. Every Intercession coffee is made with specialty coffee beans. Look for the SINGLE ORIGIN designation when applicable.

We do not keep finished roasted coffee sitting as shelf inventory waiting for an order. After your order is received, it enters our roasting and preparation queue.

Please allow approximately 3–5 business days for preparation before shipment. Our coffee is roasted to order and shipped directly from the roastery to your door rather than held as finished roasted inventory waiting on a shelf.

Keep coffee tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct light, heat, moisture, and strong odors. For everyday use, avoid the refrigerator or freezer; repeated temperature changes can introduce moisture. Grind only what you need immediately before brewing whenever possible.

Yes. Whole bean offers the greatest flexibility and lets you grind immediately before brewing, but select Drogo House coffees are also available ground. Available grind options vary by coffee and bag size; the product page will show the choices available for your selection.

Whole Bean — maximum freshness and flexibility.
Drip — automatic coffee makers.
Fine — espresso.
Coarse — French press and cold brew.

A 12oz bag contains about 340 grams of coffee. Using roughly 15–18 grams per brew, that works out to approximately 19–22 servings. Your actual yield will vary with cup size, recipe, and preferred brew strength.

At an 18-gram dose, a 12oz bag provides approximately 18 double-shot doses, with a small amount remaining. Actual yield depends on your basket dose, dialing-in process, and normal grinding loss.

Ascension™ is our collection of stone-ground ceremonial powders, including matcha and hojicha.

Recollection™ is our collection of premium loose-leaf teas.

Keep loose-leaf tea, matcha, and hojicha tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct light, heat, moisture, and strong odors. Always use a clean, dry utensil when measuring powdered tea, and reseal the package promptly after each use.

Choose the subscription option on an eligible product and select a delivery rhythm of every 2, 4, or 6 weeks. Subscription orders receive 10% off the recurring product price.

You can manage, pause, or cancel your subscription through your customer portal. Because coffee is roast-to-order, each recurring coffee order enters the same preparation process as a one-time order.

Standard U.S. shipping is a flat $8.95. Orders of $75 or more ship free. We currently ship within the United States.

Please allow approximately 3–5 business days for roast-to-order coffee and other made-to-order provisions to be prepared before shipment. Once picked up by the carrier, domestic delivery generally takes an additional 2–5 business days.

Most orders therefore arrive approximately 5–10 business days after being placed, depending on destination and carrier conditions. Holiday periods and unusually high order volume can add time. Tracking is provided when your order ships.

Not always. Different provisions can be prepared or fulfilled separately, so a multi-item order may arrive in more than one shipment. When tracking is available, it will be provided for the corresponding shipment.

Because coffee and tea are perishable and many House provisions are produced on demand, we do not accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges for ordering mistakes or preference-related concerns.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact stewardship@drogohouse.com with your order number and photos of the issue. We’ll review it and make it right in accordance with our Refund Policy.

A fixed allocation is set aside from every item offered by the House: $1 from each standard coffee, tea, powder, or apparel item; $2 from each 2lb coffee bag; and $5 from each 5lb coffee bag.

Those funds are divided between parish and school acts of service and support for organizations serving at-risk youth. The Almsgiving page explains the House commitment in greater detail.
